Pottery Workshop
Learn Hand-built Pottery techniquesAbout this experience
- Studio space is limited to a total of 6 attendees.
- The workshop is an hour and a half to 2 hours long.
- Clay, supplies, and kiln firing are included.
- Hand-building techniques we will cover in this course are pinch pottery, coil building, slabs and molds.
- This is a hand-building workshop only. For your finished piece, you can choose to have it glazed and fired by studio staff, or you can choose to sign up for a future glazing workshop where you will learn the process of finishing your piece yourself.
- PLEASE NOTE: Clay must dry slowly. In warm weather, your piece will be covered to dry slowly for at least a week (depending on size and complexity). In cold and wet weather, pieces will dry much more slowly and can take up to 3 weeks. We can only start the firing and glazing when your piece is completely dry.
- When your piece is ready, we will notify you of what day and time they can be picked up.
- This workshop is for ages 16 and up.
