Underglaze Workshop
Learn the techniques of underglazing.About this experience
- Studio space is limited to a total of 6 attendees.
- Underglaze techniques we will cover in this course are Painting, Mishima, Wax resist, Marbling, and Sgraffito.
- The workshop is an hour and a half to 2 hours long.
- Clay, Underglaze, supplies, tools, and kiln firing are included.
- This workshop includes one 3 pre-made Tiles for your to work on.
- This is an underglaze workshop only. If you have signed up for the previous hand-building class, you can work on decorating the piece you made. Otherwise, we will work on pre-rolled leather-dry tiles in this workshop to practice underglazing techniques.
- You can bring the pieces you make in this workshop home on the workshop day. Or, We will happily fire your practice pieces for you.
- PLEASE NOTE: Clay must dry slowly. In warm weather, your piece will be covered to dry slowly for at least a week (depending on size and complexity). In cold and wet weather, pieces will dry much more slowly and can take up to 3 weeks. We can only start the firing and glazing when your piece is completely dry.
- When your piece is ready, we will notify you of what day and time they can be picked up.
- This workshop is for ages 16 and up.

The workshop will be held in our home studio. As a safety precaution, the address will be provided with your order confirmation email. The location information will be there. The studio is located in the Hollywood Hills / Cahuenga Pass area.
